Prevention, Protection, and Social Reintegration

Preventing drug and substance abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking through community-based awareness, psychosocial support, early intervention, and reintegration initiatives that promote safety, dignity, and resilience.

Love & Hope Bugingo implements integrated prevention and protection initiatives addressing drug and substance abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Our approach combines awareness, psychosocial wellbeing support, and community engagement to reduce risk, strengthen protective factors, and support recovery and reintegration. By working closely with communities, public institutions, and development partners, we promote safer environments where youth and women are protected, supported, and empowered to rebuild their lives with dignity.

Love and Hope Center

Love and Hope Center – Bugingo is a safe community space designed to promote wellbeing, healing, and social connection. The Center provides a calm and supportive environment where individuals, families, and communities can learn, reflect, rest, and grow together. Focuses: Mental and emotional wellbeing (non-emergency), Community healing, Learning & dialogue, Rest & wellness.

Located in Kabarore Sector, Gatsibo District. hub includes: On-site accommodation for participants, visitors, and facilitators; A meeting and training hall for workshops; Green open spaces for relaxation; A basketball court supporting youth development; Parking space for up to 50 vehicles; Direct access from a paved (tarmac) road. The Center aims to become a model space for community wellbeing.

Youth & Women Mentorship

Empowering young people and women through guidance, skills development, and positive role models. Creates a supportive space where participants build confidence, clarify life goals, and develop practical skills. Emphasis: Personal growth, Life skills, Leadership, and Social empowerment.

Provides a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment. Through structured mentorship and practical learning, participants are supported to identify strengths, overcome challenges, and make informed life choices. The program promotes self-reliance, resilience, and social responsibility, helping youth and women become active contributors to their families and communities.

Practical Skills Training - Bugingo Tech Innovations program

Practical Skills Training

Focuses on equipping youth and women with hands-on, market-relevant skills that enhance employability, self-reliance, and income generation. Training approach promotes: Skills for self-employment, Economic independence, Learning by doing, and Community-based solutions.

Designed to respond to local economic realities by providing skills that can be used immediately to improve livelihoods. Participants receive practical training combined with basic entrepreneurship knowledge, enabling them to start small businesses, join cooperatives, or strengthen existing income activities. Contributes to sustainable livelihoods and reduced vulnerability.
TargetTargets: Youth seeking employable skills, Women aiming to improve income, Out-of-school youth, Unemployed individuals, Community groups and cooperatives.
